Editorial comments: | 0945-?1045 EDT = 1345-?1445 GMT. Timings from the President's daily diary suggest uncertainty as to when the meeting ended. The holograph notes are in the handwriting of Colonel Mike Wheeler, the NSC notetaker. No typed minutes appear to survive in this file. Perhaps they were never written up, because there is no sign that such a document has been closed for review. Nor is there the customary covernote submitting the complete minutes to the National Security Adviser. A list of planned attendees follows the handwritten minutes. There was a further meeting on START, NSC 0052, held over lunch on Friday 25 June (1223-1313 according to the President's daily schedule). The files show no trace of minutes for this meeting. It is possible none were made for NSC 0052. Read all other NSC minutes from the Reagan Administration on this site. |
