Lunch with Shell [name unclear] (Taiwan)
Sent PM a note on GH’s [Sir Geoffrey Howe] forecasts of 6½ wages 5% prices for 1983 - still real wages increasing and unemployment 3.2 for ever - apparently she rejected it! Agreed to GH’s British Rail - JH [John Hoskyns], FM [Ferdinand Mount] at MOT - now to be positive with Serpell Results (not cutting ok)
Very civil service - chief economist a nut case (Cole?)
