Thursday 11th February 1982

KJ [Keith Joseph] saw me before cabinet - what should we be doing about subsidies etc.

DeLorean into receivership on Monday (?) Jim Prior was proposing to provide through E(EU?) funds to keep it going for 6 weeks - PM exploded - did not do that for Laker.

D. of Emp report that YWS [Young Workers Scheme] is doing very well 20,000 applications - remarkable considering that wages councils are still in place and must be preventing many applications.
