Economy: FCO telegram 1 to UKE Washington (“OECD WP3 meeting, Paris”) [record of conversation] [declassified 2012]

Known simply as ‘WP3’, the body in question is the OECD’s Economic Policy Committee Working Party No.3 on Policies for the Promotion of Better International Payments Equilibrium. It was established in the early 1960s, an early initiative in international policy cooperation. The British representative on this occasion was Deputy Governor of the Bank of England, Kit McMahon.
