Material has been added to this entry from the handwritten original of the 1980 appointment diary, accessed at the Cabinet Office prior to transfer to TNA. The full text of that volume can be accessed here. The entries for 7-8 May in the handwritten original show appointments that were cancelled because of Tito's funeral.

1200   Coffin placed on gun-carriage. Gun Salute and National Anthem. Address by presiding member of Presidency of Central Committee of League of Communists of
              Yugoslavia.
1230   Funeral procession began.
              To interment site.
1425   Arrival of gun-carriage with coffin. Address by President of Yugoslav Presidency. Rifle volley. Coffin taken to vault. National Anthem and Gun Salute.
              Returned to Hotel Intercontinental for tea.
