The Prime Minister has sent a message of congratulations and best wishes to the Falklands to mark the One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of the founding of the British Colony on the Islands. Mrs. Thatcher spoke of the tragedy and triumph of the past year and said the government saluted what she called “a brave and loyal people”. She said the role of the Falklands in British history was being remembered with pride and she looked forward to a future which would allow the Islanders to continue to live in freedom with justice. …
