Editorial comments: MT arrived at 1430, returning to London at 1830. There is material in the West Briton and Royal Cornwall Gazette, 18 February 1982. MT said after the service that she had decided to attend after receiving a personal letter from one of the families. "The families have gathered great strength from the community and from one another. The strength has also come from the bravery and courage which is part of their life". She said that she had been moved to tears during the Sunset bugle ceremony which was included in the service. "The families will remember this service all their lives".
