Editorial comments: Morning. The Finchley Press, 30 October 1959, has an account. Lady Mancroft opened the bazaar, decrying those who said they were too busy to help the party. She pointed to MT as an instance of a woman who found time. "The busiest always find time". MT returned the compliment and added that the bazaar was none too soon after the General Election. She hoped for good proceeds to "help towards the next election".
